about

Born in Leuven, Belgium in 1969.

After studying art at highschool, I decided to start the education for art-teacher. During this training, there was an introduction course in photography where the virus hit me. I studied photography at the Lucas school of arts in Brussels. Still analogue photography, shooting rolls of film, spending hours in darkrooms. Surrounded with magic.

Afterwards, digital creativity and the internet entered into my life and for some time IT/graphics took over till I decided to move to Vienna.. I picked up the camera again, took a (digital ) photography course leading to being a portrait photographer. In love with my slow, 45 years old, medium format Hasselblad with it’s digital back. The best of two worlds come together. Slow photography, less clicks, more quality(time). I see myself as someone that shows the strengthening values of analogue and digital in my portraits.
